Outlook Mail: Save More Than One Mail Attachment SimultaneouslyAuthor: Bill Mann
Do you sometimes receive email messages that contain more than one attachment? If so, you probably saved one mail attachment at a time, which works well enough when getting these kinds of messages is infrequent. But maybe you actually get lots of messages with multiple attachments, or they're rare, but when they come they contain a lot of attachments, you might be interested to know that there is indeed a way to download attachment files en masse instead of one at a time. It's actually easy to do, but the process differs slightly depending on whether you are using Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007. What follows are step-by-step instructions for each version of Outlook. In order to prevent any confusion, I've created a separate set of instructions for each version of Outlook. Saving Multiple Mail Attachments at Once in Outlook 2003 Follow these steps to save more than one mail attachment simultaneously when working with Outlook 2003. - Open the message containing the attachments you want to save.
- Click File, then Save Attachments.
- The Save All Attachments dialog box appears. In the Attachments list, one or more attachments that you want to save, then click OK.
- A standard file save dialog box appears. Navigate to the folder that you want to save the attachments in and click OK to save them.
How to Save More than One Mail Attachment at Once in Outlook 2007 Follow these steps to save multiple mail attachment files simultaneously when you're using Outlook 2007. - Open the message that contains the attachments.
- Click Other Actions in the Actions panel of the Ribbon. Then click Save Attachments.
- The Save All Attachments dialog box appears. In the Attachments list, one or more attachments that you want to save, then click OK.
- In the Save File dialog box that appears, navigate to the folder where you want to save the attachments and click OK to save them.
That's all there is to it. The attachments are now saved in the folder you selected. I hope that you'll find the procedures here to be time-savers when you're working with attachments. And in case you were wondering, there are a lot more tips where these came from.
