Learn Outlook with Education 2 Go

Are you new to Outlook? Do you look at all the information on this website and think, "This is great stuff, but I don't know the basics yet?"

We can fix that problem in a few short weeks.

Get Interactive, Online Outlook Training through a College Near You!

While the Living With Outlook website is crammed full of procedures and tips for getting the most from Outlook, it assumes you already know the basics of Outlook.

What if you don't? What if you are new to Outlook? How can you learn Outlook in the first place?

You can take one of my online courses, that's what!

Every month, I lead a group of people just like you through introductory level online courses called, Introduction to Microsoft Outlook 2003 & 2007. Why not join us in the next session?

Each session has 12 lessons spread over six weeks (yes, there's a bit of overlap). In those lessons, we cover everything you need to know to get up and running with Outlook. I've literally taught thousands of people the basics of Outlook through these online courses.

"I learned a lot I can use at the office. I just paid for the course with one lesson."

NOTE: My courses are administered by Education 2 Go, the industry leader in online learning for adults. Click HERE or on the logo below to learn why taking my courses (or any other online courses) through Education 2 Go is the best way to go!

Education 2 Go

Each lesson builds on the next to give you the solid foundation you need to become a confident, successful Outlook user. Each has five chapters that you can read online, or print and keep as a permanent reference for that lesson's material. Because I know you are busy living your life, I've designed each lesson to take less than two hours to complete.

"I live by my Outlook calendar these days. So getting more helpful information was great and now I can be even more organized than before. Thanks for the information."

Each lesson also includes a quiz that ensures you absorbed the material from the lesson, and an assignment that lets you put that material to practical use. Using the material is the best way to ensure that you remember it, after all.

At the end of the course, there's a final exam that covers everything you've learned, and leads to a certificate of completion you can print as proof that you've mastered the material. Not long ago, one of my students used that certificate to prove to her manager that she had successfully learned to use Outlook, and was rewarded with a long-promised promotion!

All these features are great, but what if you want to interact with the other students, or ask a question? We've got you covered here too!

Each lesson in the course includes its own online discussion area where everyone can ask questions and share information. While I encourage the students to help each other, I personally read and respond to every message posted in the discussion area, usually within 24 hours.

"Thank you for such an informative and hands-on course."

In addition to answering questions in the discussion areas, I frequently use them as a way to get you late-breaking news related to Outlook. When Microsoft updates the Outlook junk mail filter, or there's a crazy situation like the 2007 Daylight Savings Time changeover that affects Outlook users, you'll hear about it in the discussion areas.

Curious about what we cover in the 12 lessons? Here's the syllabus for the Outlook 2007 course:

Lesson 1: Introducing Outlook 2007

Lesson 2: Working With E-mail

Lesson 3: Managing Your E-mail

Lesson 4: Working With Contacts

Lesson 5: Using RSS Feeds and Instant Messaging
