Get Control of Your Life with the Getting Things Done ( GTD ) Outlook Add-In
It seems like we all have more to do than time to do it. Outlook can help you keep track of it all, but that isn't enough. The Getting Things Done (GTD) Outlook Add-In can help you add a systematice approach to dealing with all the stuff that Outlook holds for you. Getting Things Done is an approach to organizing and managing your life designed by David Allen, a well-known management consultant and personal producitivity expert. Many thousands of high-performance individuals have learned his system and use it to achieve "stress-free productivity" in their business and personal lives. David and his organization, the David Allen Company have also designed and implemented productivity programs at dozens of major corporations. For years, I've studied David Allen's
books
(I own both books in both print and audiobook format) in my efforts to improve my personal productivity. It takes some effort to organize things, and some effort to stick with the system, but I can tell you from my own experience that this stuff really does work.
The Add-In
While you can manually implement the Getting Things Done system in Outlook, the Getting Things Done Outlook Add-In makes it much simpler to do. The GTD add-in adds its own toolbar and custom views to Outlook, and makes it simple to organize and manage everything.
The GTD toolbar.
Recently, I reviewed the GTD add-in for Outlook Power magazine. If you would like to learn more about this powerful tool for getting control of your life, you can read the review
